This is an official program from the 1983 Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration held in Shelbyville. TWHNC is the largest show for the Tennessee Walking Horse breed and has been held either in or near Shelbyville since its inception in 1939. The Albert Gore Research Center houses several papers and collections relating to Equine Studies. Manuscript collections include: Margaret Lindsley Warden, William J. McGill, John and Mary Miller, Gilbert McWilliams Orr, Ethel Rankin, and Bob Womack. We also house hundreds of books in the Margaret Lindsley Warden Library for Equine Studies, which can be searched through the Walker Library catalog.
