“A” is for Annuals

[The weather delayed our launch, but welcome to #AGRCAtoZ.]

1926 Midlander

Middle Tennessee State University’s The Midlander is an excellent way to document both individual school years and changes through the years. Although MTSU was established in 1911 (as Middle Tennessee Normal School), the first annuals were issued in 1926, pictured bellow. This yearbook was issued the same academic year the school its name to Middle Tennessee State Teachers College. With the exception of less than a handful of editions in the 1920s and 1930s, the AGRC holds every edition (some with inscriptions). You may also find digital versions, including the few we don’t have, at James E. Walker Library Digital Collections.
